Timothy Dalton is a Welsh-born actor who came up through classical theatre, including seasons with the Royal Shakespeare Company, before becoming the fourth Eon James Bond in The Living Daylights (1987) and Licence to Kill (1989), playing the character notably harder and closer to Fleming.
