Watches

TAG Heuer Professional Night-Dive 980.031
Worn by Timothy Dalton as James Bond. The film sits in the gap between the Seiko era and Omega's arrival in 1995, with no credited watch partner, and Dalton's watch went unidentified for years. Bond-watch researchers, including Dell Deaton and Calibre 11, eventually matched the black case and fully luminous pale dial glimpsed during the Gibraltar opening (clearest as Bond grapples with the assassin in the careening Land Rover) to the black-PVD 1000-series Professional Night-Dive, reference 980.031. No frame resolves the dial logo, and Heuer was becoming TAG Heuer while the film was in production, with both dials at retail simultaneously, so the identification remains probable and the exact logo unresolved.
