Anatoly M. Sagalevitch (born 5 September 1938) is a Russian oceanographer at the Shirshov Institute of Oceanology who has directed its deep-submersible laboratory since 1979, helped build the Pisces and Mir deep submergence vehicles, and piloted Mir on expeditions to the wrecks of the Titanic, the Bismarck and the Kursk. He plays the Mir pilot Anatoly, effectively himself, in Titanic, the film James Cameron shot around real dives to the wreck. (Wikipedia)
