Anthony Perkins (1932–1992) was an American actor whose clean-cut leading-man career was overtaken by his defining role as Norman Bates in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), a part he reprised across three sequels. He worked as a stage actor and pop singer before Psycho and later took character roles in international productions, including the terrorist commander Kramer in North Sea Hijack. (Wikipedia)
