Hugh Laurie, born in 1959, is an English actor, comedian and musician who spent the 1980s and 90s as half of Fry and Laurie and as Bertie Wooster in Jeeves and Wooster, then reinvented himself as the misanthropic diagnostician Dr. Gregory House on Fox's House (2004-2012), winning two Golden Globes.
