House (also marketed as House, M.D.) is David Shore's Fox medical drama, which ran for eight seasons from 2004 to 2012. Hugh Laurie plays Dr. Gregory House, the cane-carrying, Vicodin-dependent head of diagnostic medicine at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, solving the cases nobody else can while breaking most of the hospital's rules. In the eighth and final season (2011-12), House wears the Hamilton Khaki Field King Auto reference H64455533: 40mm in steel, black dial with the day and date stacked at 12 o'clock, on a brown leather strap. Hamilton itself later confirmed the placement by name and reference (Hamilton), and season-8 retail listings traded on the connection (First Class Watches). A field watch built on military dial language is a pointed choice for a diagnostician who never served anywhere but his own department - by the final season the character was operating on the last of his institutional goodwill, and the wardrobe gave him a tool watch rather than a trophy.
