Kiichi Nakai is a Japanese actor born September 18, 1961, in Tokyo, the son of actor Keiji Sada, who died when Nakai was two, and named by director Yasujiro Ozu. He began acting while still in university, won the Japan Academy Film Prize for Newcomer of the Year in 1981, and later took the Best Supporting Actor prize for 47 Ronin (1994) and Best Actor for When the Last Sword Is Drawn (2003). He plays Daisuke Manpyo, the imperious banking-and-steel patriarch, in the WOWOW drama The Grand Family (2021). (Wikipedia)
