Koichi Sato (born 1960), son of veteran actor Rentaro Mikuni, has anchored Japanese film and television since the mid-1980s, from Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters and Sukiyaki Western Django to the Unforgiven remake, winning the Tokyo Drama Award for best actor three times.
