Nanako Matsushima is a Japanese actress born 13 October 1973 in Yokohama, active on screen since 1992. She played Reiko Asakawa in Hideo Nakata's Ring (1998), a landmark of Japanese horror, and Azusa Fuyutsuki opposite her future husband Takashi Sorimachi in Great Teacher Onizuka (1998), later leading I'm Mita, Your Housekeeper (2011) to one of Japanese television's highest-rated finales. She has won the Japan Television Drama Academy Awards' Best Actress prize six times, and returns to a lead role in 2026 as tax investigator Seiko Yoneda in Okome no Onna. (Wikipedia)
