Peter Weller (born 24 June 1947, Stevens Point, Wisconsin) is an American actor and television director who played the title roles in The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension (1984) and Paul Verhoeven's RoboCop (1987) and its 1990 sequel, starred in David Cronenberg's Naked Lunch (1991), and later earned a doctorate in art history from UCLA.
