Taro Suruga (born June 5, 1978, in Hyogo, Japan) is an actor and musician, the son of rakugo performer Shofukutei Tsurube. He debuted as singer-songwriter "taro" in 2002 after studying music in London, then turned to acting in 2008, gaining wide recognition as the heroine's husband in NHK's Carnation and in Hanzawa Naoki.
