Hanzawa Naoki (半沢直樹) is a TBS "Sunday Theater" (日曜劇場) drama adapting Jun Ikeido's series of bank-set corporate novels. Masato Sakai stars as Naoki Hanzawa, a Tokyo Central Bank loan officer who repeatedly uncovers his superiors' corruption and refuses to be made their scapegoat, closing out confrontations with his catchphrase "yarareta ra yarikaesu, baigaeshi da": "if you're struck, strike back, double." The first season aired ten episodes from 7 July to 22 September 2013 and became one of the highest-rated dramas in Japanese television history, its finale drawing a 42.2% audience share in the Kanto region. A second season, continuing Hanzawa's story seven years later at a subsidiary brokerage, aired ten more episodes from 19 July to 27 September 2020. (IMDb)
