Benrus was an American watch company founded in 1921 by Benjamin Lazrus in New York, with operations in Waterbury, Connecticut. It built its reputation on military supply, producing field and diver's watches for U.S. forces through the Second World War, Korea, and Vietnam, including the DTU-2A/P, whose civilian version, the ref. 3061, reached the screen on Steve McQueen. Watch production wound down by the late 1970s. (Wikipedia)
