Aircraft Carrier Ibuki (空母いぶき, Kubo Ibuki) is a 2019 Japanese film directed by Setsuro Wakamatsu, adapted from Kaiji Kawaguchi's manga and released May 24, 2019 through Kino Films and the Kinoshita Group. Hidetoshi Nishijima plays Ryuta Akitsu, captain of Japan's first aircraft-carrying destroyer JS Ibuki, dispatched after an unidentified armed force occupies a remote Japanese island.
