Hidetoshi Nishijima (born 29 March 1971 in Hachioji, Tokyo) is a Japanese actor who stepped back from television after his 1990s teen-idol run to pursue film, breaking through in Takeshi Kitano's Dolls (2002). He won the Japan Academy Film Prize for Best Actor for Drive My Car (2021), was named among the year's best actors by The New York Times, and plays architect Minoru Aose in North Light. (Wikipedia)
