Watches
- Seagull 1963
- Worn by Wang Qianyuan as Zhong Cheng. Specialist watch-history essayist 石版的钟表工作, closing the final part of a series on the Infernal Affairs films, uses this film as a counter-example of period-careless prop work: its early-1990s detective captain wears a Tianjin Seagull air-force chronograph of a kind that only appeared after 2000, which the essay reads as the actor's own fondness for domestic watches, adding that even a 1960s original was a secret military trial piece made in small numbers, unlikely to be on an ordinary policeman's wrist thirty years later and still running. The essay names no reference, prints no frame and does not say which scene it saw, so only the reissue family is recorded, on a single source. The same passage says a robber in the film wears a Soviet watch rather than the Rolex watches the gang steals, without naming the character or the maker.
