Disconnect is Henry Alex Rubin's 2012 ensemble drama, premiered at the Venice Film Festival in September 2012 and released in the United States by LD Entertainment in April 2013, which braids three stories of people undone by their screens: a lawyer (Jason Bateman) whose son is the victim of an online hoax, a television reporter (Andrea Riseborough) chasing a story about a webcam performer, and a couple (Paula Patton and Alexander Skarsgård) whose identities are stolen.
