L'Emmerdeur (1973)

From IMWDb
L'Emmerdeur

L'Emmerdeur (English: A Pain in the Ass) is a 1973 French-Italian black comedy directed by Édouard Molinaro, adapted by Francis Veber from his own play Le Contrat. Contract killer Ralf Milan (Lino Ventura) checks into a Montpellier hotel room overlooking the courthouse to assassinate a witness, but his plan is derailed when the suicidal, hapless salesman in the next room, François Pignon (Jacques Brel), floods the bathroom and drags Milan into his personal disasters. It was Brel's tenth and final feature film. Édouard Molinaro remade the film himself in 2008 as L'Emmerdeur, with Richard Berry and Patrick Timsit. (IMDb) (Wikipedia)
