La guerre des polices (The War of the Cops) is Robin Davis's 1979 French crime drama. Commissioners Ballestrat and Fush, heading rival territorial and anti-gang units, both hunt fugitive Sarlat, France's most-wanted man, but their refusal to cooperate costs an officer's life and lets Sarlat escape; ordered by the interior ministry to work together, the two men still cannot set their rivalry aside.
