The Rolex Oyster Perpetual is the foundation of the modern Rolex line and the plainest watch the company makes: the waterproof Oyster case of the 1920s married in the early 1930s to the Perpetual self-winding rotor, with nothing added on top: no date, no complication, just hours, minutes and seconds. It has been offered continuously since, in a range of case sizes; reference 124300, introduced in 2020, is the 41 mm Oystersteel version, with a polished domed bezel, an Oyster bracelet and the calibre 3230, a Superlative Chronometer with Rolex's Chronergy escapement and roughly 70 hours of power reserve.
