Breitling Chronomat

Worn by Jake Gyllenhaal as Louis Bloom. Louis Bloom takes the Breitling off a security guard in the opening minutes and wears it for the rest of the film, the one expensive object in a life otherwise assembled from scrap. It is read as a Chronomat Evolution, the mid-2000s generation with a broad 44 mm case, white dial and heavy numerals on the subdials. Sized for the guard rather than for Gyllenhaal, it never sits still on his wrist, sliding loose in shot after shot.
