More actions

Secret agent OSS 117 foils Nazis, beds local beauties, and brings peace to the Middle East. (IMDb) Released in France on 19 April 2006 as OSS 117 : Le Caire, nid d'espions, the film is Michel Hazanavicius's feature directing debut, co-written with Jean-François Halin and adapted from Jean Bruce's long-running spy novels as a deadpan parody of the genre. Set in 1955, it sends Jean Dujardin's blithely oblivious Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath to Cairo to investigate a missing colleague, with Bérénice Bejo as his local contact Larmina el-Akmar Betouche and Aure Atika as Princess Al-Tarouk.
