Hamilton's own historical film-credit page also names "Gene Hackmann" alongside Val Kilmer for this placement, but Gene Hackman does not appear in Spartan (2004); the pairing looks like an error in Hamilton's own table, so only Kilmer's Scott is catalogued here. Hamilton names only the Khaki Field Mechanical 38 line, without a reference, and this 2011-archived credit predates the line's 2018 relaunch, so an earlier hand-wound execution of the same name and case size is the more likely candidate.
