The Heroes of Telemark is Anthony Mann's 1965 war film for the Rank Organisation, released in Britain on 26 November 1965, dramatising the Norwegian resistance's sabotage of the German heavy-water plant at Vemork from the memoir of Knut Haukelid. Bernex Barracuda

Worn by Kirk Douglas as Dr. Rolf Pedersen. Pedersen's wristwatch is shown in a tight close-up: a cream dial with Arabic numerals and "BERNEX 17 JEWELS" legible above the hands, a script model name below them and an Incabloc marking at six, in a steel case on a leather strap. A Relojes Especiales member who could not read the brand posted the frames in 2022 and another matched them within minutes to a Bernex Barracuda with the same dial; the original poster confirmed the match against his screen and a third member repeated the model. The 1990s "heliosz" watches-in-movies list had recorded the same close-ups as a "Depnex", a misreading of the dial. Bernex advertised the Barracuda in Britain as a new range in 1962 and 1963, so the watch is a contemporary of the 1965 production and not of the film's 1943 setting; the advertisements list eight references and the frames do not show which this is.
