More actions

The Killers follows two hitmen, Charlie Strom and Lee, sent to a school for the blind to kill a former race car driver, Johnny North, who makes no attempt to run or hide. Puzzled by his resignation, Charlie traces North's past through a betrayal, a heist, and the woman behind both, working his way up to the man who ordered the hit. (Wikipedia) Directed by Don Siegel and loosely adapted from Ernest Hemingway's short story, the film stars Lee Marvin as Charlie Strom opposite Angie Dickinson, John Cassavetes, and Ronald Reagan in his final screen role; Universal Pictures released it 7 July 1964. Produced for television before NBC deemed it too violent to broadcast, it reached theaters instead.
