The Memory Eraser (記憶屋 あなたを忘れない, Kiokuya: Anata wo Wasurenai) is a 2020 mystery film directed by Yuichiro Hirakawa, adapted from Kyoya Origami's Kadokawa Horror Bunko novel Kiokuya. University student Ryoichi Yoshimori (Ryosuke Yamada) has just had his marriage proposal accepted by girlfriend Kyoko Sawada (Misako Renbutsu) when she vanishes overnight and reappears days later with no memory of him at all, a loss he recognizes because his childhood friend Maki Kawai (Kyoko Yoshine) once lost a memory of him the same way. Chasing the urban legend of a "memory eraser" who can excise a person's recollections on request, Ryoichi and Maki team up with lawyer Chiaki Takahara (Kuranosuke Sasaki), who wants a memory of his own erased before a terminal illness runs its course.
