The Men Who Stare at Goats

Grant Heslov's satirical war comedy for Overture Films, loosely adapted from Jon Ronson's non-fiction book about the U.S. Army's Cold War-era paranormal research. Failing journalist Bob Wilton, chasing a story in Iraq, falls in with Lyn Cassady, a self-described former "psychic soldier" from a disbanded New Earth Army unit who claims he can walk through walls and kill goats just by staring at them; their odyssey across the desert turns up the unit's idealistic founder Bill Django and its embittered rival Larry Hooper, who has since built a private military contractor around the program's more ruthless methods.
