Transcendence (2014)

Transcendence

The cinematographer Wally Pfister's first film as director stars Johnny Depp as Will Caster, an artificial-intelligence researcher shot by anti-technology extremists, whose wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) uploads his mind to a quantum computer before he dies. Paul Bettany plays Max Waters, the couple's friend and colleague, who helps with the upload and then comes to fear what it made; Morgan Freeman and Cillian Murphy also appear. Warner Bros. released it in April 2014. (IMDb) (Wikipedia)

Watches

Timex watch

Worn by Paul Bettany as Max Waters. Premiere Props sold the watch on 22 June 2014 (lot 658), two months after the film opened, as "Max Waters (Paul Bettany) screen worn, hero, 'Timex' wristwatch with canvas wristband". The lot photograph shows a round steel case, a cream dial with full Arabic numerals around an inner 24-hour track, a red seconds hand and an olive nylon slip-through strap, a plain field watch among the film's laboratory hardware. The lot names no model, and the dial text is too small to read one. (Premiere Props lot 658)
