Where Sleeping Dogs Lie (1991)

Where Sleeping Dogs Lie

Charles Finch directs this film. A down-on-his-luck writer who moves into a decaying California mansion partners with the property's enigmatic tenant to novelize an unsolved family-murder case, only to learn partway through that his collaborator is in fact the still-at-large killer. (IMDb)

Watches

Rolex Datejust

Worn by Sharon Stone. Montres de Luxe identifies Sharon's watch as a Rolex Datejust (yellow gold, mid-size). (Montres de Luxe) Serena's hands are clasped beneath her chin, putting the gold bracelet watch beside the cuff of her dark jacket. An oversized clock face fills the background behind her. The photograph therefore shows two separate timekeeping objects, with the wristwatch remaining a small costume detail rather than the large dial behind the character. (scene image)
