逃亡料理人ワタナベ ("Fugitive Chef Watanabe") is a 2019 Sino-Japanese streaming drama that premiered exclusively on Hikari TV on 23 March 2019 before wider Japanese and Chinese platform distribution. Hiroyuki Ikeuchi stars as Watanabe, a genius chef wrongly suspected of murdering his wife, who flees across Japan to protect his child and his own dignity, encountering local specialty dishes and people adrift in their own lives at every stop. Goro Kishitani plays Detective Deguchi, who doggedly tracks Watanabe but repeatedly lets him slip away, distracted by his own love of eating, while a mysterious young Chinese pastry chef keeps turning up at the same towns Watanabe does.
