Adapted from the British format Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, this M6 reality series follows two-Michelin-starred chef Philippe Etchebest as he intervenes at struggling independent restaurants over a rigid four-day format: observing a normal service, tasting the menu, auditing the kitchen's hygiene and storage, and confronting the owners about the root causes of their failure. Watches
- Perrelet Turbine
- Worn by Philippe Etchebest as Himself. Montres de Luxe reports that viewers repeatedly spotted Etchebest's Perrelet Turbine on air, bare-armed in the kitchen, and that some subsequently went to watch retailers asking for "Philippe Etchebest's watch" by name; the piece adds that he has also occasionally worn a Bell & Ross. (Montres de Luxe) In tome V, Victor D. reported the Perrelet Turbine on the chef presenting Cauchemar en cuisine on 11 January 2014, Onoff a blue Turbine on him on M6 on 13 May 2014, and Le Güi in April 2015 placed the Turbine between the Hamilton and the Chopard in his succession of watches. - Hamilton Khaki Field
- Worn by Philippe Etchebest as Himself. Before the Perrelet, Etchebest wore a cream-dial Hamilton pilot-style watch through the early seasons. PalamPalam had seen it up close in Cauchemar en cuisine and was sure of the Hamilton, and mo gave the model as a Khaki Field Officer Auto with a cream dial and small seconds at six. When M6 repeated older episodes in January 2013, Le Güi asked about the cream-dial flieger, mattlamenace and MONTEMONT answered Hamilton Khaki Field, MONTEMONT adding a product image and saying he wore it in most episodes, and Gibson, who had described the large twelve and the two-rivet aviator strap, accepted the match; The Vosmeister, nonobroke, equinoxe67 and BUG77 list the Hamilton among the watches he alternates. (Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Wayback capture; Wayback capture) In tome V, in April 2015, tititonio25 recalled the Hamilton as the chef's earlier watch, fred-tictac gave it as a discontinued Khaki QNE with a 330 ft depth rating that he owned himself, and sensay07 pointed out that the Hamilton is recognisable in the programme's opening titles; in May 2014 Jaeger77 had described the same watch as a cream-dial flieger type. (Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Forumamontres) The first season's posts in tome I hold the earliest readings: Odin wrote in April 2011 that the second episode showed exactly the Hamilton posted earlier, christmike answered a January 2012 question with his usual Hamilton, mattlamenace and Shanks described its cream dial, Shanks calling it his Hamilton Pilot, remy#3 and Nico77340 read a Khaki Officer seen in close-up in December 2011, supermacgeek and Pascab a 44 mm cream-dial Khaki Officer automatic in January 2012, and Mat_beer02 preferred the 42 mm Khaki Pioneer from a product image; the model within the Khaki line is thus unresolved. - Bell & Ross BR01
- Worn by Philippe Etchebest as Himself. On 23 January 2013 -Laurent- logged Etchebest in a Bell & Ross BR 01-92 or 01-94 Phantom, the all-black version of the square instrument watch. A week later chucky544 had glimpsed a Bell & Ross on him during the same evening's episodes, The Vosmeister confirmed it alongside the Perrelet and the Hamilton, Peter Dumont T.Ard called it his well-known Bell & Ross, and in May BUG77 listed Bell & Ross among the watches that change from episode to episode. Montres de Luxe, cited above, also reports an occasional Bell & Ross. Only -Laurent- names the Phantom, and he leaves the three-hand 01-92 and the chronograph 01-94 open. (Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Forumamontres; Forumamontres) In tome I a member noted a Panerai and a Bell & Ross among the chef's watches in the April 2011 credits, KalleAnka saw a square Bell & Ross on him at one point, miaby counted a Bell & Ross among the two or three watches of the December 2011 credits, and in January 2012 Shanks named a BR01 Phantom and later a B&R 01 beside an IWC. - Chopard Mille Miglia
- Worn by Philippe Etchebest as Himself. On 15 April 2015 sensay07 wrote that in Cauchemar en cuisine the chef wore a Chopard Mille Miglia chronograph, illustrated with a product image of the red Rosso Corsa version, and Jonathan11 thanked him for settling a question his partner had teased him about for months; Le Güi placed the Chopard after the Hamilton and the Perrelet Turbine in the chef's succession of watches, having first seen it on him in Top Chef in January. Three members agree on the Mille Miglia chronograph; the red-accented Rosso Corsa is sensay07's illustration rather than a reading of the frame, and no reference is given. - TAG Heuer Monaco
- Worn by Philippe Etchebest as Himself. Forumamontres members watching the programme in the spring of 2015 saw the chef alternate his Perrelet with TAG Heuer's square chronograph. On 4 May 2015 lolofurax55 reported Etchebest in a Monaco with the blue Steve McQueen dial in Cauchemar en cuisine and ChrisC75 confirmed a Calibre 12 with that dial; two days later Artemus noted the Monaco in that week's episode, ouftophe answered that the Perrelet Turbine had also been on his wrist that week, and on 12 May lolofurax55 wrote that the watch showed in every scene and took it for a placement. Zeclarr saw the blue Monaco on him in the programme again on 18 January 2017, and in 2019 power944 pointed to a Le Point interview in which the chef spoke about his Monaco. Four members agree on a Monaco on this programme and two of them on the blue-dial Calibre 12; no frame was posted and no reference is given.
