Top Chef

M6's version of the American culinary competition, broadcast in France on M6 and in Belgium on RTL-TVI from 22 February 2010, puts a field of professional cooks through weekly elimination challenges judged by a panel of starred chefs. Stéphane Rotenberg has hosted every season; the third, broadcast from 30 January to 9 April 2012, was judged by Ghislaine Arabian, Thierry Marx, Christian Constant and Jean-François Piège, with Cyril Lignac coaching the contestants, and was won by Jean Imbert. A 30 January 2012 report initially suggested a 38 mm Big Bang; reports from 5 March and 2 April instead name the Classic Fusion, citing the ceramic case, plain bezel, rubber strap and carbon-pattern dial. Rolex Daytona

Worn by Jean-François Piège as Jury member. Forumamontres reports place steel Daytonas on Piège throughout the third season: a white dial during plate scoring on 5 March 2012, a black dial in the 10 March 'Astuces de chef' segment, and further sightings in an M6 chips-tortilla recipe video and the 9 April final. Both dial colours are reported, possibly reflecting two watches or a misreading under studio lighting. No reference is given. Worn by Christian Constant as Jury member. Two Forumamontres members identify Constant's Breitling Chronomat in the third season, on 30 January, 2 April and after the 9 April 2012 final. Descriptions include a two-tone bracelet and a blue dial on a Pilot bracelet; neither identifies a generation or reference. IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph (unidentified model)

Worn by Stéphane Rotenberg as Host. Forumamontres viewers identify an IWC pilot's chronograph on Rotenberg in April 2012, including discussion after the 12 April episode and a posted broadcast frame. One member questioned its heavily marked minute track and larger-than-expected case. The identification rests on readings of that frame, without a reference; another watch seen on a mesh bracelet in studio segments remains unidentified. Worn by Jean Imbert as Contestant. Three Forumamontres members identify Imbert's blue-bezel Chanel J12 Marine in the third season's 2 April 2012 episode. The comparison image was Chanel's product photograph, and no member established whether it was the 38 or 42 mm case. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak

Worn by Cyril Lignac as Coach and jury member. Forumamontres reports identify Lignac's Royal Oak in the 9 April 2012 final, with one member proposing reference 15300. In the fourth season, viewers reported a different watch on 4 February 2013 and a Vulcain on 18 February. May 2013 discussion of another M6 programme again named the 15300, but disagreed between a black and dark-blue dial. The Royal Oak identification is shared; the reference rests on two members' readings without a frame. They describe a grey or slate dial on a loose brown strap and distinguish its power-reserve display from a chronograph. Reference 5001 comes from one member; no frame was posted. Forumamontres discussion of the 14 April 2014 episode identifies Marx's all-black Raymond Weil Nabucco automatic chronograph, with a rubber strap and tachymeter bezel. Initial Hublot, Daytona and TAG Heuer suggestions gave way to the Nabucco after a product-image comparison accepted by four members. Worn by Philippe Etchebest as Jury member. Forumamontres viewers identify Etchebest's Monaco from his second jury season, the seventh season in 2016, through March 2024. Reports from 10, 17 and 29 February 2016 describe a blue dial and suggest the Calibre 12; further sightings occur in the April champions' special, with later recollections in September 2021. Six members support the Monaco identification, also known from Cauchemar en cuisine, but the Calibre 12 reading is narrower and no frame or reference was posted. Worn by Philippe Etchebest as Jury member. Six Forumamontres members identify Etchebest's Autavia from TAG Heuer's 2017 relaunch. Reports begin on M6 on 30 September 2017 and continue through the ninth season in 2018, including 31 January, 21 February and 7 March, with another report in May. A Speedmaster suggestion was disputed, and a Heritage Autavia product image accompanied the discussion. The 7 March broadcast capture is no longer hosted and no reference is given. Worn by Hélène Darroze as Jury member. Forumamontres reports identify Darroze's Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda 1950 during the seventh season on 3 February and in April 2016. In the eighth season, Hermès, Dior and Cartier suggestions from 18 February were followed on 25 March 2017 by a Tonda 1950 skeleton identification using a product image. Two members agree on the Tonda 1950; the skeleton execution is one member's reading, and no frame or reference is supplied. A second, pink watch remains unidentified. Two Forumamontres members identify Sarran's white-dial, steel-bezel Daytona on 12 and 13 February 2021, with one proposing reference 116520. Michel Herbelin Grand Palais

Worn by Xavier Pincemin as Contestant. Forumamontres discussion initially called Pincemin's watch in the 18 April 2016 final a Reverso. After the champions' special, a 27 April comparison identified the quartz Michel Herbelin Grand Palais, supported by two members. Blancpain Fifty Fathoms

Worn by Glenn Viel as Jury member. Forumamontres reports identify Viel's Fifty Fathoms on 1 March and 8 April 2022 and again on 14 March 2024. An Instagram photograph shows the watch on his wrist while he holds a Fifty Fathoms wall clock, and a member notes his Blancpain ambassadorship.
