Goblin, internationally titled Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (쓸쓸하고 찬란하神 – 도깨비), is a 2016–2017 tvN fantasy romance written by Kim Eun-sook. Gong Yoo stars as Kim Shin, an immortal goblin awaiting the human bride who can end his centuries-long curse, opposite Kim Go-eun as that bride, Ji Eun-tak. Lee Dong-wook plays the nameless Grim Reaper who shares Kim Shin's house and eventually learns his own former identity as the fallen king Wang Yeo, with Yoo In-na and Yook Sung-jae rounding out the household as, respectively, the amnesiac goddess Sunny and Kim Shin's ward Yu Deok-hwa. Worn by Lee Dong-wook as Grim Reaper. A Timeforum FreeBoard thread from February 2017 shows multiple posters independently converging on a TAG Heuer Monaco for the square chronograph Lee Dong-wook wears as the Grim Reaper, visible when he touches the brim of his black hat; one poster reports the closing credits themselves list TAG Heuer under watch sponsorship ("마지막에 시계 협찬에 태그호이어라 나와서 확신했습니다"). Two Korean entertainment outlets reached the same identification independently and during the drama's original broadcast: Sports Korea's dedicated watch column named it a TAG Heuer Monaco in the 39mm square case tracing to Steve McQueen's 1969 original, with a blue dial, red hands, and a price near ₩6,690,000, while Digital Chosun's fashion column separately named the same model with its crocodile-leather strap and automatic chronograph movement. None of the four sources narrows the identification past the model line, so the case reference and execution (Calibre 11 or Calibre 12) remain unconfirmed. A fifth, previously uncited independent voice, Timeforum specialist 토리노 (Torino), separately notes in an April 2017 roundup that "태그호이어가 왕창 등장했는데요" (TAG Heuer appears prominently) in Goblin, without narrowing past brand.
