Created by Ron Leavitt and Michael G. Moye for Fox's launch season, the sitcom ran eleven seasons from April 1987 to June 1997 around the Bundys of suburban Chicago: Ed O'Neill as Al, a women's-shoe salesman living on the memory of four touchdowns in one game for Polk High, Katey Sagal as Peggy, Christina Applegate as Kelly and David Faustino as Bud, with Amanda Bearse and Ted McGinley as the neighbours next door. Watches
- Timex watch
- Worn by Ed O'Neill as Al Bundy. Propstore's London 2023 live auction (November 2023, lot 1381) sold Al's wallet and watch from the season 2 episode "Born to Walk", in which "Al wore his watch and carried his wallet with him when he was given a ticket for his licence expiring and a broken tail light"; the wallet itself went unseen in the episode. The lot lists "a silver-colour Timex watch" beside the wallet's replica revoked licence, credit cards and bills, and names the maker only. The lot title spells the actor "Ed O'Neil". (Propstore)
- Monet watch
- Worn by Katey Sagal as Peggy Bundy. Julien's Auctions sold Peg's watch as lot 209 of Hollywood Legends: Contemporary Hollywood: "A gold-tone Monet watch worn by Katey Sagal as "Peggy Bundy" during the production of Married... with Children (Fox, 1987-1997). The face of the watch features roman numerals; the reverse side of the watch is engraved, "Base Metal Bezel / Stainless Steel Back / Monet® / Japan Mov't."" Monet is the Providence costume-jewelry house, and a gold-tone quartz on a base-metal case with Roman numerals is the department-store jewelry-counter watch that belongs with Peg's leopard print, capri pants and bouffant. The caseback legend the essay quotes is Monet's standard marking and gives no model, and the lot names no season or episode. (Julien's Auctions)Scene image neededSubmit a scene still!
