Shylock's Children (シャイロックの子供たち) is a five-episode WOWOW serial drama that aired from October 9 to November 6, 2022, adapted from Jun Ikeido's banking novel of the same name, part of the same prestige-drama lineage as Shitamachi Rocket and The Iron Bridge. Set at the Nagahara branch of Tokyo Daiichi Bank, it follows deputy manager Masahiro Nishiki (Yoshihiko Inohara) after a million-yen cash shortfall implicates a female teller and Nishiki himself vanishes, unraveling a wider fraud among the branch's employees. A separate 2023 theatrical film adapts the same novel with an unrelated cast. (Wikipedia)
