A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Tourbillon
More actions
The Lange 1 Tourbillon is the tourbillon execution of A. Lange & Söhne's signature Lange 1, carrying the line's asymmetric dial, outsize date and power-reserve indicator over a one-minute tourbillon driven by the hand-wound calibre L961.1. Lange built it in numbered limited editions from the start of the 2000s; the platinum reference 704.025 was limited to 150 pieces, each numbered on the case, and examples dated circa 2001 have passed through Christie's and Sotheby's. (Christie's; Sotheby's; A. Lange & Söhne) That run of a hundred and fifty is the watch a watchmaker identifies under a false Rolex signature in Jo Nesbø's The Redeemer, where the novel names the model but neither the metal nor a reference.
