Chanel J12
More actions
The Chanel J12 is the black ceramic sports watch that Jacques Helleu, then the house's artistic director, launched in 2000, taking its name and its streamlined profile from the J-Class racing yachts of the 1930s. It turned scratch-resistant high-gloss ceramic, until then an industrial material, into a luxury case and bracelet, and its monochrome, deliberately unisex look became one of the first horological icons of the new century. Reference H2419 is the 41 mm automatic chronograph: an all-black ceramic case and bracelet with a steel-rimmed unidirectional bezel, a black lacquered dial carrying nine diamond hour markers and silver-toned sub-dials, a date between four and five o'clock, a screw-in crown, sapphire crystal and 200 m of water resistance, driven by a COSC-certified movement.
