The Chanel J12 is the ceramic sports watch that Jacques Helleu, then the house's artistic director, launched in 2000 and named after the J-Class racing yachts of the 1930s; its case and bracelet use scratch-resistant high-gloss ceramic in a monochrome design. No single reference describes the line: the original black ceramic of 2000 and the white ceramic of 2003 have each been sold in several case sizes, quartz and automatic, with plain or diamond-set dials, and Arnaud Chastaingt's 2019 automatic redesign introduced the COSC-certified Kenissi Calibre 12.1. (Revolution) The photograph shows one execution, reference H2419, the 41 mm black ceramic automatic chronograph with nine diamond hour markers, a date between four and five o'clock and 200 m of water resistance; no appearance recorded here resolves to it.
