A Corum watch is a watch from the La Chaux-de-Fonds maker founded by René Bannwart and his uncle Gaston Ries in 1955, whose best-known lines are the nautical Admiral's Cup, the Golden Bridge with its linear baguette movement, and the Coin Watch built around a twenty-dollar gold piece. (Corum) The gold Corum on a black alligator strap that state representative Wilfrid Mack wears in George V. Higgins's The Rat on Fire is named only by brand, so it resolves here rather than to a model page.
