The DEVON Tread 1F is the blacked-out execution of the Los Angeles maker's belt-drive flagship: a 53.3 mm DLC-treated steel case around four interwoven, 2-micron glass-reinforced nylon belts that carry the numerals past a reading window, driven by microstep motors under microprocessor control instead of any conventional movement. The F version pairs the black anodized works with high-contrast belt numerals and, in place of a crown, charges its lithium-polymer cell wirelessly for a roughly two-week reserve, an electro-mechanical answer to timekeeping that follows the original 2010 Tread 1 at about $19,900 retail.
