A Dacor dive watch is a diver sold under the name of DACOR Corporation, the scuba-equipment maker Sam Davison Jr. founded in Evanston, Illinois in 1954 as the Davison Corporation, one of the five early American diving-equipment manufacturers alongside U.S. Divers, Healthways, Swimaster and Voit, and better remembered for the Dacor Dart regulator whose breathing Ben Burtt recorded for Darth Vader. (Wikipedia) Dacor was a diving company rather than a watch house and the record of its watches is thin; the only one documented here is the black-rubber-strap diver Propstore sold with a Team Zissou mask from The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, its underside marked "Renz" for the editor Renzo Pietro, and the lot names no model.
