The case and crown read as the military Komandirskie, though no frame resolves a case or dial reference and some collectors read the piece as an Amphibia variant instead, so the model stays probable rather than confirmed. Dacor dive watch

Worn by Paweł Wdowczak as Renzo Pietro. Propstore's Buy Now sale (March 2015) of a Team Zissou dive mask and watch used by the crew's divers documents the editor's watch: "The watch is a Dacor brand diving watch with a black rubber strap. The underside of the watch is marked 'Renz' for Renzo Pietro (Pawel Wdowczak), Zissou's editor and sound man." Dacor was an American scuba-equipment maker rather than a watch house and the essay names no model, so the maker alone is established, from the lot rather than a frame; it puts an American diver on a crew otherwise wearing Soviet Vostoks.
