Franck Muller Cintrée Curvex
More actions
The Franck Muller Cintrée Curvex is the tonneau case that made the Genevan house's name in the early 1990s: a barrel shape curved along both its length and its width so that dial, crystal and caseback all bow with the wrist, which co-founder Vartan Sirmakes recalls choosing to build the brand around precisely because nothing else on the market looked like it and because it was a difficult case to make well. (Revolution) The case carries almost the whole catalogue, from time-only and date models with the house's oversized, stretched Art Deco numerals to the Casablanca, the triple-time-zone Master Banker of 1993, the Crazy Hours and tourbillon pieces, in several sizes designated by number, such as the 7880. (SJX Watches) An appearance that resolves only the case and numeral style belongs here; one that names a size or execution belongs on that page.
