Grand Seiko 4520-8010
More actions
The Grand Seiko 4520-8010 is the solid 18-karat gold execution of the 45GS family, cased in Taro Tanaka's faceted, hammer-finished "Grammar of Design" style and cataloged in Seiko's lineup only between 1969 and 1971. It runs the hand-wound caliber 4520A, a 25-jewel Hi-Beat movement oscillating at 36,000 vibrations per hour, among the thinnest manually wound high-frequency movements Daini Seikosha built, at 8.7 mm thick. The reference was produced in a single configuration, gold case with a white dial, and its scarcity today makes it one of the most sought-after vintage Grand Seiko references. (The Seiko Guy) Jun Murakami wears it as Ichikawa in First Love (2019), per the supplier's costume-loan record. (Jackroad)
