The Gruen Precision 510 is a slim gold manual-wind dress watch on Gruen's 17-jewel calibre 510: Arabic numerals at 12, 3 and 9 over a starburst-textured dial, with a sub-seconds register at 6. Bond-watch researcher Dell Deaton identified it in 2013 as the watch on Sean Connery's wrist in the Dr. No casino scene (on screen before the Submariner ever appears), and it is generally believed to have been Connery's own. Whether the gold dress watch of You Only Live Twice and Diamonds Are Forever is this same Gruen or a different personal watch is still argued from period photographs, which some read as showing plain stick markers instead.
