Watches
- Rolex Submariner 6538
- Worn by Sean Connery as James Bond. The first of the Bond Submariners, one of the most famous watch and movie pairings there is. Hodinkee, crediting props to John Chisholm, describes an early "Big Crown" 6538 with a gilt dial and a red triangle on the bezel, says it is widely believed to be a four-line dial like the ones the later films show clearly, and makes the strap its point: the familiar tight shot of the Submariner on a striped nylon strap is not from this film, and "Bond wears his on a leather strap throughout, even underwater". It times the Geiger-counter beat at 00:46:55, when Bond holds the counter to his wrist and explains that the luminous dial activates it, and the one-eyed check of the watch mid-kiss with Miss Taro at 00:55:56. (Hodinkee)
- Gruen Precision 510
- Worn by Sean Connery as James Bond. Often overlooked: the slim Gruen in the opening casino scene is the first watch Bond ever wears on screen. Forumamontres member Necro disputes the identification, writing in December 2018 that he had never seen a frame or a statement by Connery proving a Gruen, let alone the precise model, and Hawk agreed that he would welcome such evidence. (Forumamontres; Forumamontres) Hodinkee's column agrees that Bond wears two watches in the film but describes only the Submariner, naming no maker for the other. (Hodinkee)
- Swatch Dr. No 1962 SUOZ302
- Official product partnership, not an in-work appearance. Swatch released six film designs in its 007 Tribute Collection in February 2020, one per title, each drawing on that film's poster and opening sequence. This one replaces every hour marker with the word NO, in the title sequence's yellow, cyan, red and green. Swatch calls each a limited edition without publishing a number, and licensed the collection from Danjaq, LLC. (Swatch Group)
- Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Commander's Watch
- Official product partnership, not an in-work appearance. Omega released this steel Seamaster in August 2017, limited to 7,007 pieces, honouring the character rather than any single film: SJX calls it "the first James Bond timepiece not tied to any film." Its design reproduces the blue-bezel Seamaster Pierce Brosnan's Bond first wore in GoldenEye (1995), while its movement rotor carries the insignia of a Royal Navy Commander, Bond's fictional rank across the franchise as a whole; this record is hosted on the franchise's first cataloged film because the product is not tied to an individual installment. (SJX)
- Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Commander's Watch (gold)
- Official product partnership, not an in-work appearance. The 18k yellow gold companion to the steel Commander's Watch above, limited to seven pieces alongside the 7,007-piece steel run, released by Omega in 2017; hosted here for the same franchise-wide, non-installment-specific reason. (SJX)
