The Luminox Navy SEAL names the tactical dive-watch collection Luminox developed in partnership with the U.S. Navy SEALs, who needed something tough enough for underwater demolition, nighttime operations, and elite training. The original 3001, developed with the SEALs in 1992, ran on constant self-powered glow tubes needing no external light source and used the brand's proprietary CARBONOX case for extreme lightness at 200 m water resistance. Luminox has expanded the family since: the bolder 44 mm 3050 Colormark arrived in 2007, a larger 45 mm 3500 series followed in 2017, and a 3001 Heritage model marked the line's 35th anniversary in 2024 with a steel bezel and sapphire crystal.
