The Omega Railmaster 2914 SC is the original 1957 Railmaster, a 38 mm steel, center-seconds tool watch built for railway workers, engineers, and scientists whose jobs exposed them to strong magnetic fields. A soft-iron inner case forms a Faraday cage around the manually wound calibre 284, shielding the movement from the interference its intended wearers dealt with daily; the reference ran across several dash-suffix variants (2914-1 through 2914-4) between 1957 and 1958 before Omega revised the case.
