The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Co-Axial Chronograph 311.30.44.50.01.002 enlarges the manual-wind Moonwatch formula to a 44.25 mm steel case and moves it onto an automatic footing, replacing the hand-wound calibre 1861 with the self-winding, co-axial-escapement calibre 3313, visible through a sapphire case back. The black dial keeps the Moonwatch's tri-compax layout with 30-minute and 12-hour counters and running seconds, adds a date window at six o'clock, and sits under a black tachymeter bezel on the brushed steel bracelet, a size and automatic-winding compromise aimed at Speedmaster buyers who wanted the moon-mission look without the vintage watch's small case or daily winding.
