The Omega Speedmaster ST105.012 is the reference Omega introduced in 1964 to succeed the straight-lugged 105.003: the first Speedmaster to carry "Professional" on its dial and the first with the asymmetrical case, its integrated crown and pusher guards defining every Speedmaster Professional since. It runs the same manual-winding, column-wheel Calibre 321. This is the exact reference Buzz Aldrin wore on the lunar surface during Apollo 11, after Neil Armstrong left his own 105.012 in the lunar module as a backup, making Aldrin's the first watch actually worn on the Moon. Omega furnished First Man with a period-correct recreation for its EVA scenes, its extended strap sized to fit over a spacesuit sleeve. (L'Orologiese; BAMF Style)
