The Panerai Luminor line carries the brand's patented crown-protecting bridge device over a cushion-shaped steel case, typically with a black sandwich dial and luminous sword hands. The design evolved from Panerai's mid-century military watches, while the civilian Luminor collection debuted on 10 September 1993 in La Spezia.
